Listener Mary Louise W. asks: I live in New York, and I can no longer receive 103.3 FM. How can I listen?

I am only hearing static on my dial, and I can't reach some of the other stations either. What is going on, and what can I do to listen to WSHU?

Unfortunately, WSHU is no longer being broadcast on the frequency 103.3 FM, also known as WQQQ in Sharon. This change happened on January 31, 2021. Here is a link to information about the change on the website: http://wshu.org/wqqq

Here is an excerpt from that page:

...Existing financial pressures and the impact of COVID on our fundraising left us with a budget deficit. In order to manage expenses and position us for the new budget year, we had to take several difficult steps. We instituted salary decreases for WSHU staff, a hiring freeze, and austere spending measures. We also made the decision not to renew our broadcast agreement for WQQQ FM. This means that WSHU ceases broadcasting on 103.3 FM on January 31, 2021...

All is not lost, though, as you can still listen to WSHU wherever you are, in NY, CT, or anywhere in the world actually. You can listen:

      • on the WSHU app (more info on this)
      • from the website directly at https://wshu.org
      • or from a smart speaker (like Alexa) by asking to play WSHU (here's instructions)

We are sorry for any inconvenience, but hope you can still listen through the ways above.

Let us know how it goes!
