We asked the artists, what was the first album you ever purchased, or the first (or favorite) concert you ever attended?

I asked this of our musicians for the upcoming Little Pub Unplugged online concert on January 28th. Here are their responses:

P.J. Pacifico: First album bought with my own money was Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me by The Cure. First concert was when I was 6 years old and my parents took me to The Oak Ridge Boys at Oakdale Theater in Wallingford

Benny Mikula: My older brother Frank took me to my first concert at Groton Navel Base and it was Van Halen(w Sammy Hagar on vocals). I have so many favorite concert experiences, but today’s answer would be, first time i saw The White Stripes at Keyspan Park in Brooklyn. The first album I every purchased w my own money was quite possibly My Prerogative by Bobby Brown or Parents Just Don’t Understand by The Fresh Prince on 45.

Nick Depuy: The first album I got with my own money was Mixed Bag by Richie Havens.

Griffin Anthony: "the year was 1994 and i remember asking my mom to wait in the car of the sam goody parking lot. “mom, please- it’ll just take a second.” a minute later, i plopped back down in the passenger seat holding my neon-orange velcro wallet in one hand and weezer’s debut (the blue album) on cd in the other."

I can't remember the first album I purchased, but I do remember being gifted The Cars album Panorama. That was a great one. And the first concert I went to was Warren Zevon, remember Werewolves of London? I saw him at the Universal Amphitheater in LA. Brings back memories.
